The identity for the International Folk Festival BALTICA is built on a poetic, nature-inspired language rooted in mythical symbols. Folksongs unfold as part of the Poetry of Earth. Our human language is closely intertwined with countless pulses and voices that babble, chirp, whisper, mumble, drone, trill, chirr, twitter, crackle, grumble, murmur, and rustle. In this symphony, folksongs become part of the Earth’s own language – a voice of the land that speaks to us, and through us.
